Got my 2001 rsvr out earlier and it wont start. Turns over fine but just wont fire up no warnings on the dash. Yesterday i washed it then went to put some fuel in it at which point some water got in the tank due to the drain being blocked on the filler. Started fine in the fuel station and did about 15 miles on it. It did cough a few times during this run but seemed to clear. Put the bike away last night come to start this morning and it refuses to go. Im thinking that the water has sank to the bottom of the tank and gone into the thottle bodies. Any ideas on how to sort this?????

Something that you might consider because it happened to me was the wiring has got wet e.g. some sensors. I was my 99 machine just before I was due for a blast out and ther bloody thing just turned over. With a hair dryer and about 30 minutes I dried the bike out. all under the tank and under the seat. Once it was dry the bike would still fire so I Connected my booster pack to the battery (getting a little low) and did the dodgy full throttle start and it fired up. Might be worth a go dude.

It was awhile ago and it was something like
Don't quote me said:
Fast idle off open the throttle fully and press the start button. as soon as it fires off that throttle.

Im sure some on her will tell you shortly
