I was having a gander at the manual yesterday and realized that the thermostat starts to open 176-183F and is fully open at 203F. I don't know about you but whenever my bike gets to this temp from here is just skyrockets and has a difficult time coming back down. I also noted that when the thermostat is closed there is no circulation through the rads, except for a tiny pin hole worth of coolant coming through the thermostat itself which is not worth much.
When my bike is running nice and cool ~150 or less everything runs stronger and there is more aparent power.
So the question reamains to be asked... would it not be benificial to get a thermostat that opens at a lower temp to allow circulation through the rads earlier(or remove the thermostat alltogether)?????
Would there be any problems with removing the thermostat?? I can't see any other then taking a bit longer to heat up, but not like the RC can't make enough heat...
Your thoughs???
