Hey all,

Finally i made contact with the pciii so now i need some help. when i load the current map it says its for a can i dont have and a eprom thats not installed.

how important is it that everything match up when choosing the correct map ? - from the ones available from powercommander.com, of course.

also, i dont have the 9-v connector for the device, so the engine must run when i upload. will the engine stall if the map dont match up with the bike? will i be able to upload the old map?

any advice is appresiated.

I speak from experience in this field (Had PC3 and played for many months with maps) and having the wrong map for your set up can make the bike a real pain to live with.

MY advice is to get all your mods to the bike done then get a custom map made by a reputable Dyno centre.

Until then you may find it better to disconnect the PC3 as it may hamper your engines performance.

I second that, don't waste your time with a downloadable map, you need a custom map done by a reputable dyno centre

two veterans at work ;)

thanks guys, i will save up and get a dealer to do it.

If only you knew how much time I spent in front of my PC tweaking the Dynojet maps. :eatcorn

Dunno where you are in the world but if you are within a few hours of Griff who is in Tamworth then he has a contacts that can sort this correctly for you.
