any one heading to the bike show this month? if anybody in the Durham area fancies a look down i am going down in the car and there are 2 spaces free. not sure what day yet but will be booking tickets this weekend for me and junior

I am interested only on the sunday though - if thats OK ?

I am goint to see a T-Rex tribute band on sat night & have grown my hair especially long for this.

I suspect if I went on the saturday I would be late & will be in the deep mire with the missus.

I am cool with this.

I still have a couple of days to take by the end of the year.

Let me know if its on & I will bang a days holiday in.

30th it is then guys me, junior, olaf and gf will sort out times nearer the day. i have just booked 2 tickets and the car park :thumbup

Mr B, you are still top organiser, even on 4 wheels.:thumbup

Dont forget to take your blankety blank cheque book & pen.:crazy

Get the kids inheritance spent, I am sure deep down they are happy to see you enjoying it.:bawling

Why do they always book the bike show in the winter ?

Is it to maximise the car park fees, because they know most will not be attending on their bikes.

I think its to maximize attendance as winter is a bit of a biking vacuum and the show is more appealing when meets and racing comes to an end

Aldo, have you been off road much then ?

I must be getting better because I fall off more often, some propper comedy ones, with forward rolls etc.

I went out last week end, got severly bogged down on several occasions, but still good fun.

I cant believe I have waited all these years to get into this.

OT, I was out for 4hrs on Sunday trying to make a bit of a circuit in fresh fields next to a boggy wooded bit I use. A while back the local bad boys had been chased off by the rozers so I had one eye on what I was doing and the other lookin out for the plods.

I managed to combine a new bit with an existing track which made for a 20min lap some of it very fast but with little grip, the front was moving about at an alarming rate and very little drive from the rear on anything above 1/2 throttle.

I was fookin knackered after putting 2 laps together so I stopped and took my jacket off, a big mistake because all the protection for my bod was integrated in the jacket.

So after half a lap I called it quits and headed for home before it got to dark.

I fair enjoyed myself but it's not quite what I'm looking for.

I want to do a bit of distance rather than going round the same fields.

I'm looking forward to you guys showing me some of your green lanes. :yes :thumbup

OT I forgot to say that your learning to fall with Style. :thumbup

Apologies for highjacking your thread Mr B.:no

One last comment (maybe)

I was at the "local" TRF meeting last night, the closest is in North Yorks.

One of the boys brought me a copy of a set of maps from the Durham area that had been issued by a couple of supportive police people.

Any way, the police have marked up all the approved green lanes in County Durham that I should not get any problems - good result.:thumbup
