Nice bikes..... sold me 996 a few months after buying me T. Much prefer to ride the T, but looks wise, nothing comes close to the 748 / 916 / 996 - Always wanted one..... so glad i eventualy got one (Single seat, 50mm Termis..... fantastic - but bloody uncomfortable for me)

To have both...... you lucky lucky buggers !

Screamingly jealous of both of you. I have lusted after a 996/8 or 748 for years. Next summer I am REALLY wanting a new white RSV4 to park next to the T, but seeing your bikes has weakened my resolve. The lines of this bike are utterly iconic and make me weep with joy and awe when I see them. Thanks for sharing... and totally ******* up my RSV4 dreams...

You should get a 998 if you want a duke as 748,916,996 all have probs with Crome falling off rockers ... Lucky I have not had that prob

But that new RSVR don't half look nice

thanks for the nice comments ...

My 748 had 5 rockers replaced at the last service (first service i had paid for). Cost a whopping £950 all in but the bike is a dream to ride when it's on song and i am in the mood for it. I got it cheap anyway so it still has not cost a fortune.

The beauty of the 748 is that it s a bit revvier than the other Duke engines. Redline is close to 11000rpm.

I do like the 998, but in fact, wanted a 748 for that revvier engine... I want it for handling, not blazing speed. Torque and able to rev it up quicker makes it the bike of choice for me. Almost bought a 998 Matrix before the Tuono. Glad I didn't tie up the money but the lust is still there.
