My RSVR for sale..... absolutely gutted.

I'm writing this with a heavy heart but unfortubately my 11 month old RSV has to go. :bawling

Unfortunately my financial circumstances have significantly changed and so all my expendable assets, of which the RSV is one, are coming in to play.

I don't use the bike for commuting etc so it's just a toy really and in truth it hardly ever gets used but it's costing me £125 a month before I put fuel in it or anything. It may not sound like much to spend a month but it all adds up. I'm devastated to see it go but it's just got to be done sadly.

So here goes: it's a 2008 only white RSVR1000 on a 58 plate. It's currently got 1490 miles on it and is genuinely in as new mint condition with full service history and all other appropriate documentation etc. It currently has 13 months of the transferable factory warranty remaining and also comes with a pair of unused mint standard cans and a set of titanium "E" marked Akros with removable baffles which are also in perfect.

I really have looked after it and it's in A1 condition and I've never had any issues with either brakes (even the back brake has always worked fine amazingly) or the clutch and none have ever needed bleeding or any attention at all.

The only fly(s) in the oitment are that the tax runs out at the end of August and it needs it's second service (the cheaper of the two) in November. With regard to the tax if I still have it when it runs out I'll stick 6 months on it or I will knock off the price of a years tax, whichever the buyer prefers. In addition I'll also be paying off the outstanding finance on my credit card very shortly before I sell it and I will also provide proof of this to the buyer.

I've checked out Biketrader etc and it seems that £5995 o.n.o is a fair starting price for mine and so I'll take it from there and see what happens. If anyone's interested or knows someone who is, P.M me and we can have a chat. Failing that it'll be appearing in Biketrader sometime next month. Gutted. :puke

Sorry to hear that mate. You'll be back though:thumbup

Cheers buddy. I hope not to be bikeless for too long. I think I'll have to see out the next year or so and then see where I am then. Fingers crossed there may still be some nice 0% apr deals about so you never know. Still so gutted I've got to let it go after only a year but like it or not it's got to be done.

I almost got to the same point last week, loads of ***** going on, but decided i would rather have to sell my house and move into another caravan before i end up bikeless. It might have cost me my missus etc, but to me, my bikes will always come first, i can escape on a bike, whereas a house is always a anchor and i can do without that.

Luckily, i landed on my feet, for the moment, and the bike and the house stays.

Each day as it comes will be dealt with as a fresh day, but i will not be bikerless........

Can I join the 'Gutted to be selling my bike too' club.

Sorry to highjack your thread mate. bike looks stunning

Well the dirty deed is done and I've sold it so I am now bikeless. :bawling.
I'd hoped for a bit more but I was ultimately content with the price as it was bang on my minimum. Never been in this position before and it felt horrible.:cry

However all my finance is paid off, I'm just over a grand richer and at least £160 a month better off which was obviously the aim and while it's a relief to some degree it's sooo BITTER sweet. I've spent all morning on the internet just looking at bikes.....I'm not sure why. :down :unhappy

Sorry to hear that mate but glad you've got your finances straight. Look forward to meeting you on the road when you do get something else. Meanwhile, you can still hang out here and chew the fat:thumbup

Cheers mate. I'll give you a buzz when I'm back in the saddle, hopefully won't won't be too long. :thumbup. I also think I'll hang about on the forum and get my fix, especially as the RSV4 Tuono is shaping up nicely. :devious

If I start saving now I should have one by 2026!

Jokes aside I'm aiming to be back on two wheels within 18 months. Fingers crossed.

Ah you now my pain then. :thumbup Like yourself I WILL be back. It's good to see that people have come out of it the other side relatively unscathed as I've never been in this position before where I've had to sell anything I give a toss about just to make ends meet.

Cheers mate. :thumbup
