I've had the RD for years and it has gradually evolved to what you see now. It was originally a 250 and the 350 power valve engine was the first mod I did. Luckily the engine drops straight in so it's pretty easy. Then I changed pipes, forks, wheels, brakes etc. The RG was a project too, always wanted an RG500 but can't afford one. I had a spare YPVS lump and loads of spares so the logical thing to do was build a Yamagamma as there are loads of cheap RG250s about. It's a real fun bike, the engine has a Mick Abbey tune and is putting out 70bhp at the wheel but the whole bike only weighs 135kg!

I was pretty poor as a youngster and could only dream of owning RD350's and the like, I had a battered old GP100 to rattle around on then an X7.

Would love to get my hands on an X7 again, for old times sake!

Cracking collection of bikes Rich, bet you have a major dilemma when you walk in the shed and can't decide which one to ride?
