got the idea from a member at af1,its cost me £10 to do purchasing xl door seal rubber and getting the old dremmel out,ive cut out the top part off the airbox to create the seal at the front which makes it fail proof for any dirt and crap to enter, smeared silicone grease around seal to further improve.i havent finished yet just making the bracket to hold the filter down and then its done also fitting a new pipercross filter:thumbup

Wow, that looks damn good. Is there some kind of glue on the other side? Your rubber seal was a great idea because it looks alot stiffer and sturdier than most of the others that I've seen.

hi mate, no theres no glue the seal fits perfectly on the rim,if you want the seal its on ebay item number 320636044837 ill post some more pictures tommorow with the finished bracket .it makes such a good seal you have to push the tank down quite firmly cant wait to try her out with a few more ponys:biggrin

you know that you need to seal the top of the air filter, do you? anyway the sealing looks great but i am quite sceptic about the seal on the lower side of the airbox (on pictures on the left) so make sure there is no space there

ive also put some 8mm foam tubing inside the seal to further improve and reinforce, ive smeared grease around the seal and closed the tank the seal leaves a nice consistent smear right around the tank,
