Well I picked it up on Monday night , got it home then stuck it in the garage
Not had a lot of time to do much to it
It's a cat d insurancer minor cosmetic damage , worst bits are the air tubes , need a full set but a RH inner wil do for now
I got it from a mate , a mate who builds fighters , he was going to "fighter" this ,but it has a data tool alarm on it
It keeps going off ( as they do) , it did his head in , it's starting to do mine in too
Anyway anyone got recommendations for air tubes , genuine parts ,pattern parts ,?

Will get some pics done and posted if your interested

spent up for this month , need to wait till pay day again for bits

came to the conclusion i need to lengthen the stand an inch or so , if i just lift the backend a wee bit i think it would flip
must be a lot of weight high up on these ,odd

So after the fortnight from hell I got some garage time at last
So I fitted the bodywork

The triangular mesh bits in the top faring are to disguise the holes some ***** drilled in it to fit some hideous
Indicators , got some bar end mirrors to fit as well , next up mot and all that

Frame and swinger look in very good condition!
 
Swapped for an old zxr 750 I had , it was nice tho
Bloke wanted "about 1500 " for it
Seemed a good deal to me

no i have a ktm super duke ,thats recently cooked its battery and reg rect unit ,so its in the naughty corner
spends most of its time there now i think about it
i was going to buy an RC8 , but this came up so i thought id see what like it is
i reckon the aprillia will be a whole lot more reliable anyway
had a firestorm and an sp1 a while ago , the sp1 looked lovely but was a gutless ******* of a bike
needed to be dooing 120 everywhere
i have an old blade that ive had for 15 years ,great bike never any trouble
got some lc's and 2 tdr250's as well

Got some garage time tonight , found out the KTM was putting out 19v to the battery , so that's £200 to sort
Made a 25mm foot for the Mille side stand ,think it really needs to be 30 so will have another go when I get a free cnc
Also Sussed out the alarm I think so less woooo woooo in future I hope , tho when I was messing around with it
I heard a bird repeating the call , most amusing
Took some loyblocks to some of the heavy scratches on the faring , glad to say I have removed some ,so more work to do

Why £200 to sort? What do you think of the mille compared to firestorm?
 
£200 ? about 150 for the reg rect , and £50 for the battery , tho it might work out cheaper

the firestorm was an okay bike ,small tank and a wee bit lacking in go , the mille has more about it tho
the honda dosent look as good either
 
So got the katoom sorted for £80 ish

Getting the Mille mot'd later this afternoon , then tax it and see what it's really like

So a couple of hours hooning about on the Mille
Impressions , really smooth for a twin quite quick , handles almost as well as my blade does ,but its more composed on bumpy
B roads , feels a lot comfier than I remember , the induction noise reverbs in my helmet at certain revs , makes it feel a bit strangled too ,tho it flies ,lifts in first second and third , might need to check what gearing it has ,seems to be getting noisier the longer I was out on it ,maybe needs the silencer re-packed , tho I think I'll buy a dan moto one for it soon
The KTM feels a lumpy vicious thing after riding this ,maybe need to replace it with a tuono
