COUNTY DURHAM
Weather permitting and if any one is interested i am planning the following for this Saturday 15/09/12 :

meet 10:00hrs - Wynard filling station and head to Whitby - Scarborough - helmlsley
i am only planning on a half day as my shoulder cannot handle another full days riding and will be heading back home from Helmsley
i may get out again before the end of the month but only for a short blast then the T gets a sorn and will use the thundercat if and when i can

I'll see how it goes Brooksy nearer the day.
We are off to Dunoon on the Monday for a couple of days, so no doubt the ball & chain will "need new things" for it.

I was not lost, I just thought you wanted a scenic ride home as you are hibernating after this week end.

Have you finalised a route for this one ?

Blakey ridge (with a stop at the Lion pub) / Rosedale Abbey (tea & a slice of cake) might be worth thinking about.

Depends on the weather.

thank you for your kind gesture however i will not be hibernating just not using the T for a bit.
as for your requested stops i am sure that as this will be my last planning event of the year i can fit them in howver it will mean a rather zig zag route of the Yorkshire moors. leave it with me

Top Grafta Brooksy.

I was thinking of keeping off the main roads, especially after the recent warning Felix sent out about the yorkshire speed traps.

asking Olaf for directions, is that wise :lol
off the A19 for Hartlepool A689, you can see the services from the A19 mate

This may not be my last hoon of 2012 and the T may get taxed at the end of the month, the cat has just used up its last life and is going the journey :banghead. defo going up for sale at the weekend and the proceeds going towards an enduro bike, should really impress the wife as i will now have to start looking for enduro kit :thumbup

I was not lost, just temporary unaware of my location.

Being an ex SAS member (saturday & sunday), I was checking things like which side of the lamp post the moss was growing & the angle of sun for directions.

As a last resort I was using road signs.

Grin, as they removed road signs during the war to confuse invaders, I am sure you are familiar with these techniques.
