Sold the Mille & bought a Tuono, the moding starts
Hi Guys, thought i would share my Gearing Experience with You.
GEN 1 STANDARD GEARING 17-42.
I recently owned a 2002 Mille with Standard Gearing which made it very smooth to Ride, with bags of Torque on open Roads but a total pain in Town. So it definetly needed at least to go -1 Front & 1 Rear.
Now when i bought the Tuono it felt nothing like the Mille, it was very jerky, over responsive & the Torque didnt exist so i was changing Gear like a 600cc all the time. So as the Chain & Sprockets were knackered anyway i removed them last night to find it had 15-44 Sprockets fitted?!
Fitted my new Renthal 16/43 Sprockets & Gold DID Chain & what a world of difference. The Torque's back big time for blasting between corners, & its so much smoother ride & Filtering is now a doddle.
I can totally understand why most of You go for 16/44 for the all out acceleration, but for me less is definetly more.
