Ok, I admit it... the RSV4-R in white makes me tent my pants every time I walk past a magazine stand and see one on the cover of a bike mag. I lust for one. I want one. I want to fondle her with my groin and stroke her sides with my thighs. I want to caress her throttle with a heavy right hand and dry hump my way to 300 kph plus.

Not at all mate, i'm very very tempted by a bike at the moment too. If me buying something shiny just because i wanted it made me a bad person, then shoot me, i'm as guilty as Charlie Manson

It's into the mid single digits ABOVE 0C right now... But with all the snow and ice on the roads it definitely precludes a ride. Hence my quivering loins, england...

An old Manx in a Featherbed frame... definitely trouser tightening. The '98 R1 is, in my opinion, one of THE sexiest Japanese bikes, ever. Subsequent iterations were ok... but the rounded version with that BOOYAH engine have made me *twitch* since I first saw one in '97. And that was in the days when I was still a confirmed Harley boy.

Same here, I've loved it from the start. I like the 03/04 model as well but the underseat pipe models after that do nothing for me :thumbdown

Had an old shape and an 05. Both very very different in many ways.

The 05 was simply awsome though. But... also quite dull lol

'98 rocks. Way more soul, way more snarl, way more chutzpah. The underseat never really did it for me. Ducatis with that single sided swingarm... now there, you need to go under the seat to show everything off.

They'e doing Â£2600-3200 in top condition. The answer is probably not. Part of me wants to, but i need a better workshop etc before taking on something like this instead of my usual Jap project bikes.

That means that if you get this little bike, you could do an Ago tribute, AND upgrade your shop a little to "cope with the restoration". Sounds like WIN-WIN to me.
