Really your stuff is looking awesome in red color, it is too attractive color, RSV is really very nice bike its features are great and also comfortable to ride, I like it very much, thanks for sharing pic of you bike.

Hi Rob,

Been off work on the sick and have found another 5 possible JJ bikes on E-bay and Autotrader. I think I have become obsessed must get back to work soon.......
what do you reckon of this one? Looks like one?

Cheers

Nice bike Nike mate :thumbup

I've got a red/ black 03 as well but graphics are a bit random and just put it down to its prob been played with, I just checked the log book and it's an RSV1000r as well so this might explain it.

I'll get a pic up when me lap tops been fixed (surprisingly hitting the thing cos it's was sooo slow will not fix it :dunno) so on iPhone and wouldn't have a clue at down loading pics yet

Thanks for the link Rob which was v helpful

Bomb

How have you identified them? Are they just 'possibles' or something more definite?

'sexy red rsv' may also be another 'JJ' but the only real proof is in the logbook and under the seat I think.

Looks like that's another one that Dalmatian46 has too !

...and yes you should probably get back to work soon ;-)

Cheers

Rob :)

My log book does not even have the model on it Aprilia and colour thats it !

I have had the seat off and cannot see any markings where should I look ?

On my V5 towards the top left of the second page....
in section D.3 Model it says RSV 1000 R

There is a sticker about 6cm by 3cm on the left hand side top of the seat subframe (under the rider seat) that has year of manufacture and country codes. e.g. I, UK, A, P, SF

Do you have that?

Which of the country letters is marked?

Rob :)

Just Possibles !

Just checked under the seat and it's got the jj stamped

Welcome to the club, it would be nice to think that this ment it was worth more than the standard ones. However it probably only means that if we ever try to sell our bikes we will either have to lie about the model in the description (drop the R) or spend ages explaining what went on in 2003!!!!!1

My thoughts exactly

But im happy in the knowledge that there are only a few of us which makes us special ( well that's what I'm telling myself every time I see an RSVR with it's beautiful ohlins suspension and toys)

Any ideas how many of the 50 have been found

Thanks for the welcome mate :thumbup

Have a read of http://rsvzone.com/forums/showthread.php?17297-RSV-Model-debarcle-in-2003 This zone has identified 7 now and I think I have found at least 1 more on E-Bay (another red one, Owner is describing it as rsv100r and it isn't the RSVR 1000.......?????)

Would be nice if the 50 of us could get together and look down our noses at the 'normal' people. Obviously we will deny the existence of the RSVR lot!!!!!!

I would have put LOL at the end but I am 41 and a stupid nickname is all I can handle at the moment.

LOL that made me genuinely laugh out Aloud(being close behind you I can relate to that) but the older I get the less i wanna grow up 

Thanks for the link only 43 more to find then well all go for a pint.

Tell me about it trying to find an RGV250 to fill that small hole in the garage and the big hole where my youth and hair was!

LOL ("moving with the times")
