Never heard of them either and not any posts on here that I can find. Just had a google and most people seem pretty pleased with the build quality and sound for the price.

Do they do more than look and sound good i.e. do they improve (or detract from) performance? That seems less clear in the reviews I read.

Rob :)

used to have one on my r1.. was bought by a previous owner.. i thought the build quality was good.. although the can was far too short to achieve good fueling with, i had no quams otherwise... sound was excellent aswell.. delkevic are another cheap brand that get overlooked quite a bit, i've one of their cans on the rsv atm and it's still like new after 8 months of use in all weathers.. £120 for 3/4 length stainless can, you can't go far wrong with that... it caught my eye originally because i didn't want a full length can but i didn't want to go too short either, and this fitted my specification perfectly..

Thought I'd chime in since I've got one, and the place is local to me.

Basically MTC were set up by a guy called Martin who used to work for blue flame. I know they use steel rather than aluminium on most of the cans so you get a better finish etc.
Long and short pretty good all round, but aren't the cheapest being £120 vs Viper for £80 and some of the Chinese offerings like danmoto, however the quality and tone are spot on.

They're standard in length so it sounds like turbopresh's can had been cut down by the previous owner too.

While we're on this subject, just found an MTC round in my box of bits, if you're interested make me an offer. It's got a knock on the inside that you wouldn't notice once fitted, few marks where the strap has been etc.

Yeah I have just seen the viper cans on eBay and like the look of the oval with carbon end cap !

i never liked the finish on the viper stuff personally.. it looks and feels like cheap crap.. i'd go with mtc or delkevic over them any day

I had a MTC gp can on my 02. It was blllooooooooodddddyyyyy loud ! it was a shame but did sound like a moto gp bike and look the nuts.

the gp cans are just pointless.. they will never resonate at the correct frequency and will always be very hard to tune your fueling for as the exhaust isn't pulling the exhaust gases away from the head in an efficient manner...

you need a good full length or 3/4 length can at the least

ok i have just bought a leovince can of ebay but after looking at the pic more closely it says leovinci on the end cap ? I have a leovince in the garage which has been shortenend but has the sbk logo on the end cap and not leovinci or leovince so have i bought a cheap replica ?

I don't know if it's for real, but if it was sold as a 'leo vince' on fleabay, it has to be one, or you get your money back.

Rob :)

yeah just been googleing it and it seems some are labeled leovince and some leovinci both with the sbkL logo as well ?? looks identical to my short one except the length obviously
