Been looking here and on AF1 forum and can't find anyone who's moved their indicators down onto the headlight bracket.

Have just done this on mine and can't think of any reason i won't leave them there.

Am i missing something ?

Moved mine years ago......

Hmmm, wonder what it would look like on my Gen II if I just put little 'uns on the side mounts where the stalks for the current ones are. Then bar end mirrors to really clean up the front end.

They look much better on the lower portion of the Tuoldo. I've been surfing trying to find some clear buttons that I can mount to the flange the stalk is on. Might work out to be a little trial and error.

I put some little LED ones down low, and look MUCH better:thumbup

Bought the LED flasher unit, but still needed to fit resistors as current was leaking through the dash bulb indicator and causing both to flash!

I found 27 ohm in parallel for each side was enough to drop enough current to stop the "non active" side from flashing. Eventually I'll get into the dash unit and replace the bulb with LED's and take the rather inelegant resistors out of the system.

My $0.02 worth.

Move 'em down low. Looks sooo much better, only takes about 10 minutes to do it.
If you fit after-market ones or mini's, make sure the stalks aren't too short otherwise they can be hidden (when looking from the front) by the widest point of the fairing.

Yeah, remove the 4 allen-key bolts on the top fairing and unclip the headlight connector to get the whole lot out of the way. Disconnect the indicator wires and unbolt them from the top fairing.
Thread the indicator wires through the lower faiing bracked in the new position, bolt 'em up and put it all back together.
10-15 minutes max.

Well I know what I am doing this weekend !
is it just an unbolt bolt up job ?

HAve to take headlight fairing off to re-route wires, but basically yeah, 15 mins job.

4 bolts for headlight fairing, 2 bolts for indicators.

easy peesy.

Well as they say, musn't grumble, Liz & I are keeping well, you guys all OK?

yeah we're all OK. I just put a Zard can on Al's speed trip today, took it to York for a remap and blew the baffle 1/2 a mile across a field somewhere up garrowby hill. she wern't too impressed when I fessed up. :dunno
