Hi Guys,

Looking to purchase a pair of shoes that offer some of the protection of full on boots, that that I can wear with jeans and walk about in comfortably.

Any ideas?:thumbup

Dont know any particular brand m8 but you would probably get a bargain from the NEC bike show coming up next month :thumbup

alpinestars and icon make shoes like this....take a look at their website for what suits your style. I don't know how much protection they really offer over a solid hiking boot though :O

personally i think sidi's go well with anything :laugh

Thanks for the advice - just bought a pair of Icon Super Duty 2 Shoes and a pair of Furygan Gene boots - Got all the gear now - :)

They look alright they do, personally tho i dont think you can beat full leathers and boots, a full boot protects foot, ankle and shin, if the worst happens ya covered your self to the max :thumbup:thumbup

Yeah - got those too but these are for my little runs to the shop and seeing the mates. Any other times and I am getting suited up.

Got 5 pairs of Kevlar jeans, knee and shin pads. Those will always be worn - Allthough not all at once :)

I find a pair of stout brougues do the job fine topped off by my lovely bowler hat!!!

Little1 never needs to buy new boots - his feet dont come close enough to the floor to wear them out!!!

Ankle damage is way up there on the list of injuries when crashing. You've got to cover them. I wonder how uncomfortable it is walking around in bike boots it is compared to walking around with a locked ankle? :dunno

But the bitument between my house and 7/11 and my friends I socialise with is a lot softer than the bitumen on my favorite bike roads :laugh
