As MCN exclusively revealed last week, MotoGP will stay on British Eurosport in 2009, with an official announcement expected later this week.

MCN understands a deal has been reached between Dorna and the BBC to allow British Eurosport to continue to screen all three Grand Prix world championship classes.

But as we reported last week, the MotoGP race will not be screened live, but delayed later on the same day.

British Eurosport won’t screen the MotoGP race live because the BBC has exclusive rights to screen the premier class clash live. The 125 and 250GP races though will be live on British Eurosport.

Full details of the new agreement will be unveiled later this week but there is still no confirmation of whether the popular commentary team of Julian Ryder, Toby Moody and Randy Mamola will remain.

its better than watching all of it on the bbc!!!!!

Thank God someone has some sense...although the REALLY sensible outcome would have been for DORNA to tell the BBC to bugger off in the first place!!!

Outstanding news!! more crap news better be right!! I just ordered sky HD too, couldn't watch BBC. Even during the commercials on eurosport BBC was *****, hopefully it will have Mamola, Ryder and Moody.

I honestly think motogp is dying out, I started watching around 1999 and it has declined at a serious rate of knots from Gibernau took his teddy,AT-AT and ball and fecked aff home. Dorna have destroyed the most spectacular sport in the world (after womens beach volleyball off course).

If you can watch Donnington 2000 were Rossi won his first race and Jeremy Mcwilliams rode the absoluite **** off an RSV 500 evetually getting third, now that was a race!! McWoolyones wet tyres go off when the track dries out, he spins the rear wheel about 2 thirds of the straight amazin :hail

We need Julian Ryder, Toby Moody and Randy Mamola they are the daddies
Cant stand BBC and the commentators they are ***** and know ***** all , fairies

If you look on Crash.net the head of BBC motorsport was fielding questions about the BBc's coverage.

If you read it i think the said lady is in no doubt about the feeling on the BBC coverage or the thoughts of the commentary team.

It's on there but you have to loook as it's a few months old....Basically they aren't willing to listen to licence payers views....funny that!

Toby is back but they arent sure about julian and randy, full race will be shown on Eurosport as soon as BBC race is finished.
BBC dont help themselves by putting warm ups and qualifying on the red button, eurosport are allowed to show all qually and practice sessions live.

I know which channel i`ll be watching :doug:doug

Good find boys

update:

from what ive heard:

randy will not be back.-but still doing his 2 seat ducati rides
(wish i could afford a go on that bad boy!!)
and also helping out with bradley smith.

julian and toby will be,but i dont think they will be at all rounds

(at the circuits anyway)

(studio, i take it for some of the rounds)keeping the cost down.

pat.
