Mot dodge ?

my mot is due soon and i have a cracked headlight, due to having to watch the pennies at the moment i got to thinking if i put some real dark lens covers on will it sneek through or do you reckon they'll be wise to my little plan ?
I'm gonna get some anyway ( too late i know ! ) just thought it may buy me some time, what do you guys reckon ??
 
I don't think it would sneek through the mot, they have to check headlight alignment as part of the mot so they will need remove the lens covers.
 
Mine passed and my headlight is cracked to ****. Lots of the tuoldo's crack due to heat from bulbs apparently. Need a new one but watching pennies myself at mo

Wid say a dark lens is a def no no DB min......

Ahv got similar oan the Caponard ahv jist bought. It had a dark lens protector fited on it which ah didnae like so when ah got the bike hame ah pulled it aff. Lo and behold the lens on one side is damaged and distorted cos o the heat.
Nae only that ahv jist gone and bought clear ones for ma Tuono last week as weel so noo ahm wary o fittin them...its sort o a gamble between stone thru the lens V melted lens sort o thing.....

....Guess ahl find oot when the MOT comes aroond.

Dave , if it aint hard to swop then stick mine on to get you through the MOT , then swap em back over , im only up the road .

Sean, i'm gonna take it to Dog Motorcycles in Burnham ( im sure you know them ) they're normaly fair and a teeny bit leniant on some things but if it does fail i may just take you up on that, cheers mate !!

im just round the corner from dogs and yeh he should pass it , hopefully ! just let me know if you need to swap
 
Just tape the lights up, you'll get a notifier saying "lights not fitted or taped up at time of test", but nothing on the actual MOT cert. I do this every year 'cos of an aftermarket headlight with an incorrect beam
