Monday night, god I'm bored!

Kids in bed, wife's preggers & just turned some one born every minute **** on, good job I finished my steak 10 mins ago. Polished off a bottle of rose wine (no, not my normal tiple but all that's here) & now bored. Crap day at work & been flat out for weeks, first chance to chat crap, so two things to ask:

1) Anyone see top gear last night? I'd love one of those 200bhp+ Proton rally cars!

2) Looking to do a short euro trip again this year. After decent roads but got a window of 3-4 days max. Live near Dover so ferry from their convenient. Was thinking Le Mans for some event via a scenic route, Le harve, Rouen? Went to Assen via Amsterdam last year. Great trip but rubbish ride if I'm honest. Any suggestions?

As for top gear what about the van with a jag engine in it that would be funny at the lights.

Trying to zone out in the T Zone..........

1) No, missed it! I'll have to catch it on iplayer

2) How about a trip to the Nurburgring? I think it's only about 220 miles or so from Calais, plenty of B&B's etc to stay at, some unrestricted Autobahns (as you know I'm sure) and surely one of the most if not THE most exhilarating/challenging road in Europe!

Yeah, not your usual proton car was it!!

I have always found the roads in Northern france dull and 1 dimentonal, it seems the south you ride the better they get.
Agreed the road from calais to assen is not very interesting, you may as well take to the m/way.

Sounds like it!

Would be cool eh. I know someone who wrote off an R1 so stuck the engine in his birds smart car. That turned a few heads at the lights too.

Lol, my wife was the one who addressed that couple will have one ugly annoying child. The polish chick who keeps shitting herself has got me. Partners phone is off & not turned up, mum that looks like dad!
 
Top gear is mint these days. Those 3 bounce of each other really well. Piss myself at them at times.
Would love a blast in the rally jobby, looks mucho fun. The van was a hoot, even caught the hamster out

For decent roads within your range, go down towards the Ardennes region, Belgian/French German border. As others have said the north of France is pretty lame.
