Hi,my2002 etv1000 has had the exhaust internals removed and straight through perforated pipe fitted and packed around it (i hope) the previous owner had done this and maybe altered mapping to suit. the bike is too loud and will not pass a mot. even if it would pass it is too loud for me and my very elderly neighbours. a friend of mine has a pair of originals i can borrow short term, then i will attempt to quieten them. my question ishas anybody fitted decibel killers to modded originals,because of the rolled end on chrome part i assume you would need to remove the chrome cap and fit to it then refit cap. it may run awful with originals so would like to keep it free flowing but quieter. as a last resort has anybody tried the oval dominatoR system. regards paul.
