Hi guys, New here but not new to Aprilia. Just posted my welcome. Now to pick your brains. I'm looking to buy an RSV from a friend who hasn't had it too long but the bike runs great as you would expect. I do have a little confusion over the model though. I've done the checks online with DVLA and a couple of others including insurance and they says its a 2003 Aprilia Rsv Mille R Factory. Now from my research and knowledge it should have a black frame, Brembo forks and Brembo rear shock. It has silver frame, unknown black forks and a SACHS rear shock. Thats the confusion!! Anybody able to enlighten me to which model this is? Many thanks.

If it was a Factory it would have
Ohlins shock
Ohlins forks
OZ wheels
Lots of carbon pieces
Radial brembo calipers

Thanks Tash, but why does Dvla and everywhere else say its a factory? Surely that wld bump the insurance up? Is there a way to get it changed?

is the frame and engine number correct and matching ? personally if its down on the insurance and its obviously not in reality i would walk away. plenty more about.........................

Not sure, got the frame number here but didn't check the engine number. Will do that next time I'm there.

Thats what I thought. Can't find image of exact paint either. Missing the red under the headlight fairing. Just baffles me why its listed as a factory. No claims on an accident so bits havn't been changed as far as I'm aware. It's up for 1.8k so a bargain in my eyes but...it's a different bike to what it says.

Been thinking. Not gna buy it. Too much dn't add up with it. Maybe something else will come up later. Shame really. If it was advertised as an RSVR and listed as one I think I may have jumped at it.

The Gen 2 differed...Gen 1 you had the Mille, and the R version with all the good bits...the Gen 2 base was an R model...Brembo wheels, Sachs, showa, etc...but still an R...the Factory in the Gen 2 had all the good bits...

If it's a Gen 2...registered as an 03...probly an early 04...I can't see the pic....watch the mileage... because the 04 are known for the clocks resetting and mileage not accurate
