What sort of difference do 57mm throttle bodies make then?:dunno

More power?
Better response?
More mid range?

Do you change the injectors as well :dunno or i can't see them making any difference. (i come more from a car background where it was common place to change injectors and exhausts, cams, heads, chips etc. But we never changed intakes or throttle housings on cars)

im not totally sure to be honest... il dyno them soon... im thinking the TB's will give more top end... the chip will fuel it perfectly & with the addition of the airkit... more midrange... as fore numbers im not sure... im 'guessing/hoping' for 4hp in the low-midrange & perhaps extra 4hp up top... but honestly not sure !! :dunno

might not should like much but im sure it'll be more noticeable with the sphincter dyno !! :dowhat

but any info or dyno charts from anyone else whos done this would be much appreciated !! :thumbup

It can bring around 5 HP.
He will have a go with the Siemens injectors that came with the TB.
They are driven the same way as the older Denso's are.
They just have a bigger capacity.

Denso for 99-03 bikes 380cc/min.
Siemens for 04-09 bikes 405cc/min.

Looking forward to the result

Cheers Alain

me too... cant wait... lol... rubs hands !! :doug

thanks again for the super quick delivery... quicker than UK deliveries im still waiting for !!

go and look on the aprilia forum from af1 ..loads of info's on there...Has the Dr already modified them ready to bolt on?..have you got all the conversion leads etc to plug up the injectors? mmmnnnn i was looking at 54's (bored out originals)next as i thought these would be better for everyday use but would be very interested in your findings..get the hooked box..the noise alone makes you think your going quicker . which you actually are as proved by the dyno charts on his for sale thread. :thumbup

Yes he is all setup to go.
Fast idle, vacuum topt off and a special Eprom :biggrin
I adapted the injectors to take the original connectors so no pain there.:thumbup

I am bussy with the next one..:eatcorn

Any takers ? :devious

mmmnnnn would love too but looks like xmas shopping comes first ..bloody kid and wife..lol..lol

they are on the shopping list but probably not quite this month
whats the price? about £250 ish or is it quite a bit more?

i've not heard about the effect on mpg
with normal (non mental) riding, does it decrease the mpg by much?
this would be an important factor for me although i don't mind it sucking a bit more fuel when i get a move on.

i too have read that 54mm would be better on a lightly modified rsv (tail pipe, airbox, chip) although i guess the 57mm would be better for any future head, big bore work although that starts to get expensive.
would idle, lower response be affected?
and would it need to be set up on a dyno. adding to expense?

comments appreciated to see if i should be considering this upgrade.
