ok so just bought one of these.. yet to fit, brand new...

just wondering if anyone has made up any tools for self service on these boyos, considering mlp won't sell theirs to the joe public...

I guess you mean a tool to get at the seal?I would have thought a good quality pair of circlip pliers would do the job.Hopefully you'll never need to take it apart.Mrs KB has one on her Monster 900 and its been fine, although I have heard of a few failures.MPL will replace seals under warranty.Pretty sure garry had his done recently.

dead on.. thats cool.. didn't realise there was any warranty or anything with them.. kind of hard to prise info out of them as alot of the time their emails seem to be moderately coherent english.

yes pal, got mine done recently, but they wernt keen on doing it under warranty, till i shouted.

but they eventually did the job for p+p cost. but yes i,m curious if anyone has pulled one of these apart, i would have thought as Keith says a good pair of circlip pliers, maybe a wrap off tape, to protect the anodising.. but then, are the seals readily available ? come on now, someones gotta be 1st to do it.

obviously not me , mines done :thumbup

how many miles had you done before the seal went in her?

i'd pull mine to bits, but i haven't even fitted the ****** yet, and it's still in its wrapper.
