Good Afternoon All, I am just about to fit some Mivv GP cans to my RSV Factory. Does anyone know if I need to do anything other than fit them?? I have heard you are meant to change a MAP setting from Map1 to Map2??? If that is the case how the hell do I do that and does this have to be done by an Aprilia dealer? I would appreciate any advice. Cheers!!!!:thumbup

Confusion time fellas, the chap has a Gen 2 Factory, the helpful hints refer to a Gen 1

If you're running less restrictive pipes on a Gen 2 you'll need to get a dealer to switch the map from 1 to 2. Don't know of any other way of doing it apart from using the Aprilia plug in tool.

Hi mate i had mivv x cones on my gen II and *uck me wot a set of cans, if you know someone with the axione (or something like it)tool then great but if not dealer bound you will be but before you go down that road fit the cans and see how she feels if it feels a bit lumpy on a steady throttle or just doesnt pull cleanly go for the change but you will use a lot more fuel and it might not sort it i ended up fitting a pc 3 and downloading a map and had no worres after that, hope this helps but hurry up and fit those bad boys and wake the neihbours up i still miss the noise mines made.......

Lads thanks for all your help ordering the cans Wednesday hopefully fit them by the weekend!!! Will post some photos and let you know the v:thumbuperdict. Can't wait!!!

I thought i was sold the cans without the baffle's they are that loud but the baffles were there ,enjoy m8 nothing sounds finer.....

Just got the MIVV's in the box today will get them on tomorrow. Didn't realise the baffles were riveted in!!!!! That is a bit of a nightmare as they will have to be riveted back in every time they get replaced... Does anyone know the actual rivet size????. Going to fit them tomorrow can't wait......

Just buy a little nut and bolt with a spring washer, but to be honest m8 when you hear them you will want to fit another baffle lol

Cheers mate, are they too loud with them out then????

To tell you the truth i never took them out, have a look on you tube at "very loud aprilia rsv factory" not my bike but it'll give you an idea, i done the usual and tryed the bike with no exhausts .... but i never had a problem wi the cans on trackdays just enjoy m8 like i said i do miss the noise lol

Just had a look at Youtube, your right they sound awsome!!!!!! Can't wait to get them on tomorrow....

Got the cans on they are awesome, think I am going to have to keep the Baffles in though!!! I have uploaded a video in the Bike Pictures section. Only a short one but you get the idea... Got to take it though yet to see how she runs, fingers crossed she will be ok.

Nice cans mate. I have a single Mivv GP Carbon. I have started it on the drive without the baffle but I don't have the balls to run it out on the road without one.

Rob :)
