Missing Airbox Pipe

Changed the plugs on the mille yesterday and noticed that the air box has what looks like a missing pipe (picture attached showing right side of the airbox)
I assume it's the breather pipe for the forward cylinder as there is a similar set up on the rear cylinder.
The problem is that I cannot find the loose pipe or even see a cosponsoring outlet on the fwd cylinder where the pipe should originate from.

Any ideas?

on my 2003 there is no front cylinder breather and the air filter pipe is blocked off as standard.
The rear cylinder one goes to the left front of the air box and as the bike is having stuff done I am currently pondering whether to fit a small filter on there rather than let the cludgy oil vapour back into the air box.

my air filter pipe, left one, was also blocked off. While inspecting the bike after a ride, i saw that this blocked pipe disappeared. I did not notice any change in behavior. Should i be worried?
