The mirrors on my '99 bike are crap for me. I'm as wide as a barn door, and can't see a bloody thing in them, and it's annoying me more than I thought it would so I need to do something about it.

Some kind of mirror extensions would help, but I've not come across any. I wondered if it was possible to fit different mirrors, and if any of you have experience of this.
 
Mirrors on 2007 125cc RS are direct replacement.
Only difference is that they are longer.

These are for '04 bikes, I can find them all over the place, but none for the earlier bikes. And 50 quids a bit salty for a couple of bits of metal.
 
oops sorry matey mis-read and thought the bike was 09 not 99:eek: think i must be going /gone:cuckcoo
 
Changed mine last summer and yes i can see whats behind me ;)

They were a bit expensive tough (OEM parts), but worth the money..
 
Try "sw motech" got mine for an 08 bike but i,m sure they do other models too ???
 
I've got the RS125 mirrors on mine (thanks Jussi:thumbup) and they are better - you can actually see a bit out of them!). One of them was described as off an '06' so looks like they go back at least that far. However, be careful when ordering from breakers because many of them don't seem to realise that there is a difference between the older and newer ones. Best bet is to look very carefully at the pictures of any advertised to make sure they are the later type.
 
I agree thats why i bought the mirrors from local official dealer and it was one of guys who works for them I rant to and he gave me the hint.
If I remember correctly I made a topic about it with part numbers.
 
I've looked on flea-bay, and on AF1 and I can only find the same shape ones I've already got. I don't suppose you still have the part numbers Jussi?
 
Direct replacement fittings are identical. OEM spares do come with new fitting, but the fitting as said is identical. Only difference is the length of the mirror "shaft".
