hi! a little background story: i own two mille's and a hybrid suzuki rf600r with an 1100 engine/rf900 head. all of them are modified inside-out but that's a long list and a completely different story. i also own a motorcycle shop (one of the biggest in romania) and now, since it's colder outside business is slower and i have time for my own projects.
what i'm thinking basically is a chopper! yes, a chopper! it would be my second one, the first one i built was ten years ago when i was 17. an old russian bike, izh 56. 350cc single, two-stroke with indian chief-like styling. it was quite a nice bike actually but sadly it dosen't exist anymore, not even in pictures, just in my memory.
what i'm going for: a blend of high-performance and old-school chopper look! usd forks, double discs and spoked wheels! monoshock on the back. long-ish and low. and a mille engine! i have a spare one i'm going to big-bore. but it WILL be carbureted 100%. no place for injectors on this bike. don't want them either. the engine is the main component! i'm going with the big-valve heads, slotting the cams, coating the internals and using a programmable ignition. http://www.imfsoft.com/hardware/products/master-ignition-injection.asp. i'm having a feeling that a carburetted v990 will be far more powerful than an injected one. we'll live and see!
