go by the bikes settings.......... 2.5 (36) back and 2.3 (33 )front...works fine for my Pilot road 2's, that was also recomended by the guy at Forza italia, he said ignore the tyre makers settings, bike settings are better

I have stupid question on 2CTs.....

when I ran 36 at the rear, did not notice squaring/shoulder, now have gone up to 42 seem to be getting a squaring i.e as would be expected with lots of motorway mileage.:eek:mg

Anyone else noticed this or have an answer/idea why the increase in pressure should bring on squaring off of the rear.

On that basis then buddy, would that apply to the Pilot Power 2ct's i have on the Mille too??????

If the pressure is to high it will cause the tyre to square off.....the Aprilia guru man at Forza Italia said that to :thumbup

Stick with the bikes settings....i have on didfferent tyres and its been superb

More pressure = less tyre deformation = less contact patch = smaller amount of rubber handling the accel/decel forces = faster wear

Simples :devious

Higher pressures usually reduces heat in the tyre which can be an issue with stickier tyres in the winter also.
