I'm the second owner of my bike although it's only around 3 months old (WHY do people do that? - Saved me a fortune though!) with 950 miles on it when I bought it with the Rennsports fitted so I would hazard a guess that these are original fitment :idea

They're bloody marvellous for grip and feel. The nagging doubt I have is if I get caught out in the rain. Most articles I have read say they are a dry road/track tyre. It was damp when I took it out yesterday and no scary moments whatsoever. I've also found them at a bloody good price on the 'net which would negate any low mileage concerns.

Anyone got any experiences/comments on them for me to throw into the decision?

Me personally I run metzeler sportec M3's these are fantastic in the dry and done a 1000 miles in the rain on a trip to scotland this year with no concerns what so ever the M3's are not as track focused as the rennsports but if you dont get on in wet with the rennsports they are the ideal replacement.

Thanks for that. Tyres I'm considering, sticking with Rennsports if wet weather doesn't put me off them in the meantime - they're ggggreat as Tony the Tiger says (god, I watch too many adverts!)
Pirelli Diablo Rosso (new one coming out in January according to MCN. Better grip, similar to Corsa III's and rear lasts as long as a front, now there's a thing!): Corsa III's, had those on the Ducati and they were lovely as well: Metzler M3's as I love the Metzlers currently fitted and if I need a more road biased tyre they seem the ones to go for.

I've had 2 sets of the M3's now but may well try pirelli's next time out just to compare

I use Ractecs on the race bike and they are the best I have ever used! Nice parts worns for the road bike too!

Like Sharky ive been a Metzler M3 man but am havin a set of Michelin Pilots put on next week ready for the summer :thumbup:thumbup

Rennsports are still a good tyre, the Racetec is even better as is the S/C pro, not really an all weather tyre though, but surprisingly competent in the wet, IMO a winter type tyre like Diablo would be a better bet for this time of year

just thought id try some of these ones with tread, got a feelin ill be back to slicks after a ride or 2 with me ride out mates :thumbup:thumbup:biggrin:biggrin

yes but they will be slicks all over not just the 3 inches in the middle like the last set;lol:lol:lol

Same trouble as you..... too many miles on motorways to meet up, ya could stand a cup of coffee on mine, was like a fcukin table :biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

mate my last one i sold as a coffe table for £20, so there is some money in riding in a straight line, rs3mille could make a fortune:lol:lol:lol:lol:lol

Mine stands up on its own at the moment, dont need the stand they are that flat :lol:lol:lol

Will be ready on Wednesday but will struggle to pick it up as its my nans funeral, so spanner might fetch it for me then ill go to his on the train and ride it home sunday, Funeral is at 12 so cant risk fetchin in morning, will see if Colin will stay a little late as i could get there for 5.30ish, hpoefully he wont mind :dunno:thumbup:thumbup

I run rennsport on the past (in my cbr900) and were good to me. Now I have Pirelli SC2 fitted on the rsvr and work well too
