I want to fit an optimate lead to my 2002 mille. The bike is fitted with a Meta alarm and immobilizer 357tv2. Will I cause any problems if I disconnect the battery to fit the lead? The alarm is in sleep mode at the moment. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Not sure if you still need this but I'll be doing the same a soon as the charger arrives. Apparently leaving it to arm itself (immobiliser arms only) you can disconnect the battery as the back up battery isn't active for the siren.

Thanks both. Always use optimate leads never had an alarm fitted before so wanted to be sure. Using the crocodile clips is a pain as you have to remove bolt

Hi bud. You sorted this yet? Did mine yesterday - took about ten mins and no issues. Setting the clocks back up took longer!
Not had chance yet. My bike is garaged at my dad's house and family issues mean I've had no time to do anything. Hope to get it done in the next week or so.
