maxis tyres ?

has anybody tried these maxis tyres,how would you rate them..

they came fitted to myh mille when i bought it,they were new and tbh they gripped really well i liked them alot..then i seen how cheap they were on the net and dont have the same comfidence in them..

i am convinsed this is where my vibration at speed is coming from,i think the front tyre is maybe slightly distorting at speed or maybe has a heavy spot in it..

i could be wrong but would be good to hear anybody elses thought or experiance with these tyres.

i think they will be coming off my bike and getting replaced with something else to see if it cures my problem.:roll

Top tyres, traveling marshals use them at the TT and they don't hang about (they're mostly ex-riders etc) I get my knee down using the sports touring version so nuff said about the sports!

If you've got vibration you have likely lost a weight or they weren't properly balanced when fitted.

as i said mate cant fault the grip,i would be aswell getting the balance checked first right enough.

I've been on the supermax sports for a couple of years now, done track days too and not really been able to fault them.

I fitted a pair of Maxxis supermaxx sports and im on my second rear tyre now.
Theyre really good tyres, lots of dry grip but not so much when its wet.
They dont last long though.
Never had any problems, wouldnt have bought a second rear if i had.

hi giz hows you mate, have you thought about checking the wheel without the tyre fitted for balance ?see if it shows anything then if its all good fit the tyre again line up the dot with the valve and see if you still have the same problem. if it was me i would balance the wheel first then fit the tyre and then balance it again. for best result .always line up the dot on the tyre with the valve good luck bud

quite good tyres but wear quickly and track horribly when part worn.IMHO!!
