I use Silicone spray..Great on plastics and matt finish, can get 4 tins for a quid at local suday market so a damn sight cheaper than proprietry brands of cleaning products..

I too have a black mean machine and like so many others have tried all the various polishes and still revert back to good old Mr. Sheen furniture polish. :thumbup

Mr Sheen is great stuff....just don't get it near yer seat :D :eatcorn

Ok, another question about matt black.

Fook knows how but a scratch has appeared on the side of my tank (yes am pissed off) and it has sort of left a white scratch on it, what do you think is best way to cover it up?

Do not have Mr Sheen here, but how about these Johnsson furniture cleaners same stuff different package.

I also heard that wonder stuff WD40 but i have not tried.

nah its too deep for a knee scratch, was thinking about maybe sticking some of those grippy things that you can put on the tanks. Any1 know what they are called?

yeah they are called stomp grip.
I had a set on mine, they will cover it up, but you will lose 4 layers off yer finger tips fitting it,and it looks a bit cack with the matt black paint. Mind you better than a scratch.
They are about 30 squid.
