Hi all.can anyone tell me the performance benefits of having the ecu remapped to map 2.is it worth it?.is it expensive?:devious

If your bike is a Gen 1 then its a matter of just cutting a single wire by the ECU

If running a after market air filter, k/n etc, and or different from stock cans it will run a lot better and is recommended to change to map 2, on gen 2 you need a dealer with a axone to change it over, map 2 is already in the ecu just need it activating via the axone , and worth getting the throttle bodies set up as well, balanced etc.

yer,ive read that aswell.im running with akrapovic cans.cant get a reply from any dealer willing to do it.

Did you fit the cans replacing original aprilia ones it came with, as most have been changed to map 2 by there owners these days, maybe yours has been.

the bike came with the cans already fitted.yer, you could be right it might be already be running map 2,the only way i can think of finding out is to find a mechanic with an axone.cheers:exclamation

If it has performance cans fitted, it would probably cut out when you come to a halt if it was on Map 1...that's what mine used to do, because the dealer forgot to switch it over for me when I bought the bike from new.

Yes the only way to tell for sure would be to hook it up to a axone, but it prob is already on map two, if it's not running a rough as a rough thing and cutting out as said.

the bike is running sweet,so im going to assume its already running on map 2,cheers for the info
