i have just had my rsvr in for map2 install .the question is how long does it take to do this job as the bike was only in the workshop for 35 mins max before the dealer wheeled it back out . is there a way i can check to make sure its been done as i didnt notice any difference in the way the bike runs at all but i havent tried the bike without the baffles yet .will i just have to wait and see if it runs ok ......?

The map install doesn't take long at all but they should reset the c/o afterwards which all in would be 30 -45 mins i guess.

No way of checking map without an axone.

My own bike was night and day difference baffles or not

ta mate will just have to see how it goes then ,just being paranoid i guess :dunno

does depend which base map your coming from. The early 04 base map was pretty awful.

It had another incarnation mid 2004 until the 2005 bike came out with the final (working map) which 2004/5 bikes still run on today.

From my own experience the original map was snatchy, flat, surged on a constant throttle badly and stalled at lights. open cans and updated map/variant etc was a revelation compared to what it had before.

remember you are essentially running the same map with race cans but in variant 2 which ignores the Lamda. The exception being the Aprilia Akra evo cans which had a special map.
