Okay, had my beastie now for 2 weeks, and as the title says " Man.......these RSV`s are good !!"
After 5 years without swinging a leg over a bike, I knew the bike-thing would feel great again anyway, but I`m now soooo glad that I went for the Ape; what a machine !!!
I absolutely LOVE this bike, from the looks, to the speed, to the torque, to the handling, to the grip.....this bike has it all. Fook`s sake, it`s even bloody comfortable for a sportsbike !!
Although I`ve not yet scraped my knee again, I am starting to lean over again, as the front end inspires so much confidence, and I don`t know if anyone else has noticed the "optical illusion", but the bike that feels quite substantial and heavy when you`re astride but stationary, suddenly sheds all that weight once on the move, with a nimbleness and chuckability you`d expect on perhaps a 600cc and less ?
I`m thoroughly enjoying the sound and feel of this bike, and although I was pleased to find it standard when I bought it, (apart from dub/bub screen), I`m now on the lookout for a nice set of cans to enhance the sound somewhat.....:devious
It`s also funny how you sometimes go for things, but the week before, I was sat on a Fireblade at a dealer`s, and strongly considered buying it, but as I sat astride it, I just thought "same old, same old....." (although the `blade is great bike), but as soon as I set eyes on my new steed, I knew immediately that it was what I wanted; ie, something a bit more exotic, a bit more unusual, and with a bit more character........and my RSVR certainly fitted the bill.
Okay yes, I know that this post is about nothing much more than " I love my RSVR", but I couldn`t resist posting, as it`s a pretty spectacular bike.
I`m sure you know what I mean.........:thumbup
