Lowering RSV R Mille?

Hi this is my first thread so I hope it is in the right forum. By chance I came across a web site called http://www.soupysperformance.com
It is offering a threaded link to lower the bike frame by 1 to 4 inches.
I think I would feel more comfortable if my RSV was a little lower at the back end. I.e. easier to mount & dismount & more stable when stationary.
My enquiry is; has anyone else tried this mod if so, is it regarded as generally useful option, or are there big drawbacks such as reduced ground clearance?

You can by cheap lowering links somewhere but be aware the bike will be slow to drop into corners with this and your posted adjuster

You can lower it through he forks to help this

Also be aware of the ground clearance

What we call a section is really called a forum

So what we call a forum is actually numerous forums

So crash moved it from another section within what we call the rsv forum

Does that make sense?

My honest advise is go and see a suspension specialist and ask them if they can do it using the bikes standard suspension within a basic set-up. I know bugger all about setting up the bikes suspension (although I would love to know how) and I had it checked over by Colin at 100%Suspension who is a top bloke. The suspension when I got my bike was way out and after he had finished with it it was a totally different bike which now give me so much confidence its unreal. Cost me £45 and its was the best money I have ever spent. Probably not the advise you were after but its just what I would personally do.

Many thanks Jwer23 for your considered opinion................but I wouldn't give up the day job if you are thinking about a career in witty writing.

we have the local ohlins guy, modify ohlins shock to lower seat height by about 1"ish for my wife (she is 5'4), I have see some lowering linkages around which be far cheaper than getting shock modified.

i know the claim is seat height is 810(from memory) but i have measured 5 different rsvr from new and they were all around 830. (so if you take the ride height adjustment which can get 10mm from that takes it down to 820), which is far from the 810 claimed
