hello everyone, new owner here, love the bike but seem to have a slight rocking motion at low speed. it happens around 30 mph, any one else get this or have a clue what causes it. cheers

welcome to the forum .... never heard anything like this before ..... I'd start with checking tires ...pressures ....all caliper and fork bolts are tight .....and rear wheel alignment

If you have a steering damper fitted it could be set a bit tight. gordy.

Could be a million and one things really. Check your wheel bearings, fork bushings and that both fork legs have the same preload for starters,

Cheers Dave

All of the above plus check your steering head bearings for notchiness, centering or poor adjustment

as above head bearings likely too tight

back them off a fraction 1/8th for a start.

might be in need of new ones

Any other symptoms? I'd start with the simple stuff like the tyres check pressures look for deformity and any sign of having lost a balancing weight. They are often stick on so will leave a patch on the rim if fallen off

I'd go with Lonner & Fogg would biggest culprit would be head bearings.............

Its probably the damper as said, even on a low setting they can wander, i think we over correct continually.Mine was doing it at 90 mph plus and the damper was solid although it looked new, pippip

I've had this recently; was a combination of worn steering head bearings, slightly rusty steering damper pivot bearings and old bushes in the damper itself. Had the head bearings and steering damper pivot bearings replaced, which greatly improved it, but it was still there slightly. Taking the damper off got rid of the weave, and further investigation has lead to the steering damper itself needing new internal bushes and possibly an overhaul.
