Low Oil Pressure Help please

I'm going to open up my clutch again and I will check the oil pump and oil pressure adjusting valve.piston. can you please tell me what else would causing my low oil pressure? so far I checked all the external oil hoses tank cooler and etc. I even tried running the bike without an oil filter! still low pressure and it stalls while taking off or at around 200 degrees on idle. The oil pressure light comes on every once a while and the oil goes in my clutch filling the tank all the way up. Please help :) :dunno

oh btw I had problem with a lot of small grounded/ripped gasket pieces with small amount of shavings due a bolt coming lose out of the clutch hub.

Might be way out here but is it the small filter inside the return pipe on the oil tank thats got full of the bits of gasket ? Am not a techy so hope thats a stupid reply ;-)

Doesn't sound stupid at all mate.

Chances are your pick up pipe that has a small bit of mesh welded over the end has been blocked by debris.

Check this first before stripping out your oil pumps etc....

You need a 27mm extra deep socket to remove it and be warned they are flipping tight in there. Oh and you'll need to replace the O ring as well, they go brittle and fall to bits when you remove it.

you know what guys I'm gonna give that a shot. I have done that before AMB suggested that I just happened to ignore that pipe since I thought there was flow on all my pipes. I think that might be it.

Yeah, you know Super, that filter I told you about three threads ago:exclamation:megaphone

no man I couldn't remove the ***** again. however I removed the hose and blew through the top and the oil gushes out I mean could that still cause low pressure I didn't have problem with oil leaving the tank as I could see that the oil gets sucked by the motor very fast well it just doesn't go back after 5 quarts of oil! damn! it technically returns back in the oil pan but not fast enough to go up in the oil tank... shoot. I'm gonna try to remove that filter again

i still think it's most likely your pump.

don't forget there is a high and lower pressure pump so just because you have 1 doesn't mean you have the other. Most of the tank return comes from the oil cooler which is on the low pressure side.
