Lost keys - key code?

I have a 2003 Aprilia Tuono (my used title says aprilia tuono 1000, but I guess it's an RSV tuono?).

I lost all of my keys (lost away from home, unable to retrieve). I don't have a picture of my old key or anything.

If I pulled one of my locks, would the key code be on it? Would it be on all three locks which take the same key? If so, is there a way to pull the seat lock out without picking it?

I was quoted $250 by all the locksmiths around me to come and use my blank to make a new key, so I thought I could just order one online or bring the code somewhere to make one if the code as printed on the lock.

Also, is there a cheap aftermarket lock set that someone could link if I decide to go that route? I've seen a few used ones for ones like 2006 Aprilia tuono 1000, but I'm not sure if it fits.

Thank you

f, it's a 2003 so no gen2.

I can't remember if that makes it simpler to find an alternative or whither the gen1 keys are chipped as well. :dunno

Ok, I just sent them an email.

Do any of you know if the key code is usually on the lock if you take it out?

The AF1 guy said there was no codes on it, but it is a standard tumbler.

Seems cheaper just to buy the whole lock set which is $170, unless I can impression the key myself. I had tried once, but couldn't see the marks after the initial cuts and a permanent marker didn't help.

Hi Any decent locksmith should be able to produce you a key for any of the models up to 03 ie all the gen1s as they are just standard keys. Just take them the ignition lock and they will cut the keys for you!! Have done this with several bikes! the cost here was $70 Australian to have 2 keys cut. This compares to $200 Australian for a complete lock set.
