My bar ends rotate - I have checked and the screws are tight.
Are they right like this? I need to change one anyway, but wonder if something in the bar is buggered before I order a new pair.

Ok Ta. They just look ****, not scraped up, but the paint has long gone around half of one of them leaving some nice brown rust / corrosion! Might try and paint strip and polish them up, depending on what they are made from. If ally, they'd look OK. :dunno

just checked mine and 1 of them pulled out!!! Pervious owner stuffed it in with blue tac! Are the weighted ones better than these fashion ones?

Hi there. I have just replaced mine with ones i designed and manufactured at work, they are polished stainless and shaped like bullets, i put them on at the weekend and they really do look the part. Ive not long had my bike and im spending this winter time designing and making new trick bits for it. I will post pic's when i have them.

Please note the barends that come as standard are mild steel that have just been painted. This is done cos its a lot cheaper than stainless steel! The weight is also important as they help stop vibration. each weights about 120grams.

The new ones on my bike dont rotate nor did the old ones. For the ones that do turn it maybe the bolt that holds them in place is slightly too long or that there is not enough contact between the barend and the bolt hence why it wont grip it.

My bike is a 04 plate rsvr, will try get some pics this weekend

Cheers people :)

Mate, just ordered a replacement for mine from the Aprilia genuine parts place and it came within a couple of days. Have a look at this link.

They're only £4.86 plus postage (bit steep but they come Recorded).

Mine don't rotate at all. Check you have all the bits on here. The bolt should be 45mm long

Nice one. A pair of them are going on the cosmetic winter list.

1. Respray Nose Cone (& maybe buy new decals)
2. New Crash Bung
3. Bar end
4. Get some decals for the tail sorted
