Looking to get an RSV4 - advice

I recently rode the new RSV4 RF and loved it. In an ideal world I would buy one. Unfortunately my wife hates bikes (hasn't forgiven me for starting to ride again). Swapping my fairly new existing bike for a much more expensive RF is going to be a hard sell.

Options I see are:

Wait a year for second hand RFs to appear on the market at a decent discount to new.

Buy a 2014 RSV4 R (I know of one at a good price at local dealer).

Buy an earlier Factory

I've not ridden the earlier bikes. Are they much different? The 2014 R is about half the price of the RF and would be almost a straight swap for my bike (would have to pay a bit more but not much). Or should I wait and get the RF when prices are better?

Er....don't bombard me with responses! :confused

I am 50:50 about swapping for a 2014 RSV4 R. It is red. Seems to be good condition. Just serviced and new tyres. But high mileage (12'000). Price good to compensate but as I ride quite a lot it would soon be a very high mileage example. Scanning adverts for other RSV4s for sale it seems that Aprilias are like Italian supercars...they don't seem to get used a lot. Is moving on a high mileage Italian bike as hard as shifting an high mileage Ferrari?
