Want To Buy Looking to buy a 2004

Hi all - I came across an owner selling his 2004 for $5700 with 8200 miles. It looks like its in great condition and rides well. This is my first bike in years...I've been riding for a long time, but haven't owned in a while. Is there anything I should be looking out for on these bikes? MPG, repair issues, TOC, etc?

I'm also looking at a 2003 Honda VTR with 3700 for about the same price.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have owned 2 superhawks (1998, 2002) and currently own a 2005 tuono. 2 bikes are significantly different from an ergonomic standpoint. I think the tuono is an all around better bike (lighter weight, handles better, more power). The tuono does have minor glitches (like the starter relay needs to be replaced with a yamaha version, cheap fix). The biggest problem with the tuono is the limited number of places that will work on them when maintenance is required.
