Hi Guys,

Just bought a 2007 Factory 4000 miles, looking for tips on riding & maintenance and any other owners in the Beds / Cambs area.

While I'm at it - how do you set up a profile pic on the Forum ?

Hi there,
I'm not too far from you, just north of Huntingdon so organise a meet up when the weather improves a bit

Beds/Cambs area,....oh yes.:yes
Profile pic,...look up the top of the page,'forum actions',...then 'edit profile',...its in there somewhere.
Here's a tip,...do a proper intro before diving in with a load of questions,...some of the regulars can get a bit snippy.

snippy !!!

doesn't even rhyme with twatty .... well not very well anyway

Cheers Fugly, know the area well, lived in St Ives for 30 years, I see Hartford Mill has re opened - any Idea if they will still encourage the Tuesday night meet ?

Kieth B, thanks for the IT tip.

Garry, not sure about "Snippy" - rhymes with hippy !!!!

but twatty does rhyme with happy :tounge2

I work in St.Ives, I understood the Hartford mill meet closed down but will keep and eye open and let you know if it re-opens and can meet up.

Welcome.
Here's another tip - Don't scratch your arse with a broken beer bottle.:thumbup

Shame about Hartford, The Swan in Conington (near Fenstanton) was another Tuesday night venue.

Iron Horse in Mkt.Deeping have a bike night every thursday in the summer months. Its a bit **** though,...mainly Harleys.
The Ducati lot used to meet at Grafham Water cafe on a sunday morning.Nice little pootle down the B660 for me.

oooh the B660 now there is a nice B road.

Will have to head out to Graffan for a run on a Sunday morning then as in the two and a half years I've struggled to find a good cafe meet

Dont get too excited,...the last time I went there was only 4 bikes parked outside,...all of them coppers on some sort of training course. The manager used to be a right miserable sod.Its under new management now,...not sure if many bikes still get there.
Best one is the Silver Ball just the other side of Royston,Herts. You can string a nice ride together to get there.B660 Kimbolton,645 St.Neots,...then take the back road through the Gransdens.
Other good bike cafes are Jacks Hill Towcester (bit of a **** ride tho),Byards Leap between Sleaford and Lincoln and Willingham Woods near Mkt.Rasen.(Fantastic roads around there.)
Honorable mentions to St.Neots market place cafe,Stibbington Diner on A1 southbound and Kates Kabin on A1 northbound nr. Alwalton.

Hi Skidog et al,

I live in Suffolk and work in Cambridge, so do the back roads as often as poss in the sunny months.

I know its a bit further afield for you, but Finchingfield in North Essex is a bit of a magnet for bikes on sat/sun lunchtimes.

Theres a tearoom and a pub, and often a good cross section of bikes to be seen, plus all the roads in and out are excellent, especially on a tuono.

apologies if you are all aware of this already and Im preaching to the choir!

Dropping my old Ducati off in the morning for MOT, then off to pick up the Tuono and a 120 mile ride home !!
