Looking for an RSVR up to a 53 plate NOT the newer style version

Guys,
As a real Mille fan, having previously owned an 02 RSV & an 08 Factory, both now sold, I am hankering after another, because I miss my 02 version a great deal, strange as this may seem!!
I much prefer the 'older'style bike, even though I really liked the Red Lion 08, I didn't quite gel with it the same, so as I believe that Aprilia only made them up to a 53 plate, unless late registered, this is the version I would prefer.
I would also consider a really well looked after RSV, but it's the 'R' I'm really after.

Anyone looking to sell for a sensible price, because there are several out there being sold by dealers, for very silly money, I am keen to have a look.

Nothing dropped, with limited service history, or massively altered please, but well looked after, as all proper Milles should be.

I hope to hear from someone, sometime.
Cheers Guys.

would an edwards be any good to you??

i know of an excellent example that a buddy of mine is selling???

I certainly could be, but last time I tried to look into one, I found the insurance a bit strange, when talking with my 'usual' insurers, in that they didn't seem to recognise the model!!
I would hope it is 'complete', which is not intended to be rude at all, but there are several out there that do not have the twin 'Akra' set-up, bigger throttle bodies, etc, as I understand they originally came with, as well as the single side set-up, etc.

If your buddy has any photos, details and the like, I would like to have a look.
Many thanks for your follow-up reply, it's really appreciated.

Regards

How did you get on, did you manage to find a bike?
Let me know if not and i'll share some details about mine

Dobber,
It would appear that everyone wants to keep theirs, which I fully understand and appreciate, coz if I had one, then I would too.
Come back to me if you have one you might be interested in letting go, but it does need to be in good nick!!
Cheers and thanks for your reply.

Still Looking............
In vain it would seem and probably rightly so, coz who, in their right mind that is, would want to let one of these babies go?
I did once and I definitely regret it, not one of my better decisions, but then in life things don't always go the way they ought to.

I do have an absolute "peach" of a Honda Fireblade RR6 in classic red & black, with just about everything going for it, I am planning to put up for sale and whilst I do realise that to even mention such a thing on this forum is bordering on sacrilege, from the Aprilia religious perspective, would anyone want to do a swap?

I know I shouldn't even ask, but needs must, coz it's going to go anyway!!
Regards to all.

Tommy,
Well you have captured my imagination, so what have you got to tell or show me?
Come back when you can.
Regards

Well, I'm not looking any more coz I've just committed to an 03 "Eddy" that's in IMMACULATE condition and now I can't wait until I get my hands on it!!
I collect it in a little over a week and once 'back home' I might take some photos and send them over here.

It took a while, but as the saying goes, 'good things come to those that wait'.
It's great to be back in the Aprilia clan, don't know why I ever left really, but there you go, we all make mistakes!!

Now looking for a few bits and pieces, like DB screen, rearsets and the like.
Cheers.:nana

Griff,
Thanks for coming over and for your thoughts, much appreciated and yes when I get a chance photos will be done!!
Have you got any details of the rearsets, how adjustable, price, photos maybe?
I do have a bit of a thing for Gilles, they have been fitted to all of my bikes, as I like the quality, range of adjustment, relative ease of fitting, etc.

Cheers for now.:thumbup
