Long Time no See

Hows it goin fella's haven't been on for a while been busy wi stuff:devious,anyhoo im needin some advice ,:thumbup has anyone been done for speedin on there bikes and if so how fast were you goin and wot punishment was dished out i think i might be on the next police camera action show and was wondering wot im lookin at when i go to court any advice would be great ,cheers lads ,i feel a right goat as the name suggests and im in no way condoning my behaviour i know im a fanny :biggrin:thumbup

as you haven't said what you been pinched for ill say your looking a mandatory life with no parole !!

They got me doin 130, they knew i was going faster but it took them that long to get close enough they told me they had the audi rs4 doin 170 to catch me ,the best is i run my own buisness and my labourer doesnt drive plus my wife is on the transplant list for a set of lungs so to lose my license is goin to be a ****, but hey i hold my hands up i done wrong just hope i get a judge thats in the xmas mood ,id just done a 10 hour shift then went to the hospital to visit the wife and was just desperate to get home the motorway was empty so i just went for it and got caught the guy who stopped me has met me up at knockhill before as he had a track bike too im just glad i put the road fairings back on or i would of been well ******....,..

sounds like you have a lot of mitigating circumstances goatie, I would tell the judge everything you just said and you need to make them understand that without your license you will suffer etreme hardship. I think they'll probably take into account your wifes condition and the fact that you'll not be able to work. Get over onto tuonozone and have a look there, there's achap who was done in cumbria @ 103mph in a 70 and there's the usual bollox advice but a few bits worth reading (ps your rsvzone login will work on tuonozone).

I have just been given a nip for 37 in a 30 limit.
I am hoping to be put on a speed awareness course instead of getting points on my licence. Fingers crossed.

you might get away with it as you do have some life changing issues if you lost it.

try and see if you can just be banned from bikes (you will get banned for this) as you are not capable of self control on it ? might work

but they may let you drive a work vehicle as everything depends on that plus you and others will be out of work?

i know the feeling mate, just got my rsv in march, waited for the good weather in april and low and behold on my first outing on the bike, got caught doing 87mph overtaking on a bend, no other road users on the road apart from the car i was overtaking. was told in the back of the plod car its a court visit. to cut a long story, got 6 points and £360 fine, i admitted to it on the papers and waited for the day, no solictor waste of money from past experiance. was told the fine was reduced since i admitted to the speeding before court and reduced the fine from £470. could say i was lucky as i already had 3 points, but i was pursued by bike hating cops. two days after this a friend of a friend got caught doing over 90mph in a car on the same road and got 3points and £60 fine on the spot.................go figure that!!!

would say get help straight away from law firms (good ones from word of mouth), state you had a lot on your mind etc. probley looking at least £1k fine here thro depending upon judge. good luck

I was followed on the a303 a few years back for a couple of miles by a cop volvo. I thought someone was in a hurry to go on hliday as my vibrating mirrors made the cop lights (which weren't on) look like one of those roof boxes. Anyhoos they pulled me up and asked me what I thought my speed was and I said "mmmm 130?" and they said "more like 135" bugger.
I had all my paperwork but unfortunately not my license to which they said if they'd of seen my license they'd of done me for 3 ponts and a fixed penelty of 60 quid. So I had to go to court (no legal representative as that imho just pisses em off) and tell em I'm self employed and there is no local public transport and hey I'm one of the good guys.
I get 6 points 300 quid fine and 50 court costs
I'm guessing you have a very good case to stay on the road. Good luck ol fella

over a 100mph is a mandatory court appearance as its 30mph above the speed limit?
135 is double the motorway speed limit and you were on an A road ? so 75mph over?

No he was genuine. When I was pulled over I couldn't stop me massive grin as I thought I couldn't of been had fairer and squarer, they were following right behind me for a good mile AND at least it was a proper copper and not some stealth speed camera. I figured they must've both been bike friendly coppers and he did say he was happy with my indication and manouvering BUT I was doing 130 so what to do? they didn't mention the noise from my open carbon cans. He did however say he'd book me down as doing 101mph as obviously 135 would pretty much be a slammer
I guess at the end of the day they are the same as everyone else and if you act the **** either in motion or mannerism they will act accordingly!

omfg bryan mate thats a ******, hope youve got a silver tongue mate . would never have happened if you still had your rsv mate as it would have been ****** or away getting sorted somewhere on that day .i got chased last month on my mille in a unmarked bmw they were on me for about 27 miles before i stopped for a smoke ,2 cops 1 male 1 female the guys said did i know how fast i was going i said dont think i was below 70 mph at any time and top speed around 168mph the male cop said he was a ex biker and said my bike was a cracker he started licking my bike all over lol nutter then the female cop asked if i could **** her on the petrol tank crazy ***** i was thinking would the side stard take the load ok ,anayway started shagging her like a crazy ******* and i took some pics while i was ******* her she had real nice **** must have been screwing for about 3 hours was thinking **** the days run ****** still had a full tank almost and the sun was oot ,and im stuck here ******* a polis ,good job the male copper liked my bike as im sure i would have been banned , but she gave me a warning the silly **** said to let her know lol silly cow almost gagged to death funny as **** lol.

i blasted through a checkpoint here in little old ireland 30mph zone i was doin 100mph i panicked and kept it lit.......my best advice would be get too the doctor get a letter stating the stress your under ,with whats goin on in your life ...maybe a little white lie that your on meds and suffer very bad panic attacks bring the letter with you too court ,try have a chat with the cop involved before your court day aswell he might put in a good word for ya understanding your circumstances.....best of luck lad we are all guilty of doing stupid things sometimes ......hope the wife gets what she needs very soon ...........

That sounds like good advice.

My mate got done for 140 on his R1 racing a car, they followed him for like 15miles before they eventually blocked the road lol.
He got banned, but already had like 6 points or more, think it was for 6months or so, then he got it back with no points I believe...
Sorry to hear about getting caught and the missus in hospital!

Sorry it took so long getting back lads cheers for the advice some good some not so ahem.... Biff m8 that was one o them wet dreams ,looks like im getting my way and turning the trumpet into a track hack after all the wife isny into me puttin it back on the road untill she gets the transplant which is fair doo's already got the tyre warmers and race fairing sorted now just a quickshifter and good to go .....on the downside i will be looking to get a wee cruiser for the road (if i still keep a license)harley sportster anyone wot do you think....... ive come to the conclusion i need to ride somethin slow as i ride like its my last **** !!!!!!!

get a solicitor matey, we all have one get out of jail free card.
I used mine for 73 in a 30 and alrady had 6 points, I pleaded (well, brief did) that I would lose ma job / second job / house/bird, dog etc and I was given five points taking me to 11, and a 250 fine.
You need a lawer, they will help with mitigating circumstances...good luck
Keep the speeding for Europe matey, been waved on by cops at 130 for being...too slow lol
