right as the title says still ain't got my log book since buying bike back in November. shall I wait for a bit longer or just put on my list and buy a new one? can I tax it just with the new owner slip?

To be honest mate its worth giving them a ring. I waited three months for the book for my ZX6R. About four days after ringing to inquire about its whereabouts, It arrived through the letterbox. Coincidence? :dunno

Mark.

Got my log book today, only send it middle January...matter fact I need to send it back, they made a mistake on it(probably I did)
Saying I bought a the bike year ago and not last month...

phone dvla,i waited 2 months for a v5 for another bike, when it didn't arrive I phoned them to be told I should have waited 6 weeks max, then phoned,
ended up having to pay for a new one...

Thanks for the thread fella, it's reminded me I haven't seen the V5 for a bike I bought last November. I'll have to chase them up

Sure they would be quick enought to get in touch if you wake up some of those nice grey and yellow cameras

Vincent, after the trouble he had with his birds old merc from selling that, he now sends all log books recorded delivery.

His other half is going to check for the receipt in the next day or so and let me know so you have more info to use when contacting dvla.

Cheers

alright mate. well im gonna give the DVLA a ring tomorrow and see what they say . P.S got a whole new back end on the RSV now looks mint :)

Like I said in my previous comment, only took me 2 weeks to get my v5,had to send it back Friday(mistake on the v5)
Let see how long will take...would be fun if I did got my v5 before you guys :)

Hi all finally got my log book through few weeks back now. But its says the model is RSV 1000 R but its a base model. should i be concerned? when getting insurance some companies thought it was the R version too:dunno

Wouldn't worry about it :eatcorn mines got RSV 1000 R on the log book & it's an RSVR, never had a problem with insurance.

Yes there were a few of the last shape gen1's that were heading for japan then brought back to the uk and registered as rsv 1000r on the rear subframe there should be a sticker with the jj box stamped out of it if it is
