Little Issue With Throttle!!

Hey Guys

So I picked uop the 08 Tuono this afternoon, and rode back the 120 Miles home, half way back I went to pull the throttle, and noticed a lot of play? so struggled back anyway, then when home I realised the throttle was REALLY sticking!

I have been advised that lubing the cables may help, as I dont think they need replacing as they aint broke?

So my question is how to oil/lube the cables? I have some WD40 (not ideal I know) but it's all I have here right now ;)

Is there a guide for doing this using just a can of WD40?

Will get it sorted correctly soon, but need to be able to ride it to the garage haha

I see the 2 nuts under the cable housing, but just undoing them wont free the cables/housing will it?

you need a cable luber, something Iv`e had in my toolbox since the 70`s.I presume ebay is the easiest place to find one :thumbup

I get this after rain or washing if I forget to cover throttle. As I have a q/a throttle, all I do is take off top of throttle clamp to bars off and squirt some WD 40 in then a little bit of oil, it does the trick???!

All sorted guys :)

Lifted the tank this morning as lubing the cable did nothing, and found this below lol

Tightened them both back on and all is good
