hey guys, was wondering if you listen to music while you ride, what do you listen to,i like beck, foofighters, feeder, mainly rock i guess.i use a creative media player with a pair of sienizer ear buds they are good up to about 100mph and then the wind over takes,i always wear ear protection when not listening to music.

I like to listen to stuff from the likes of Pink Floyd or if I am up for a really fast ride something purely instrumental.
I have some really obscure Sony in ear "bud" type headphones that seem pretty good.

Each ride on my Mille (rare as they are at the moment) is so special and so much about me and my bike that I just don't want to be distracted from the experience by some other **** intruding on our time together with his musical blatherings.
I save that for the car. Just put an Mp3 player in the car so got loads of stuff on a drag and drop CD I made - everything from Purple and ACDC to Alasdair Roberts and Sufjan Stevens. The two albums that are never far from the car are If You Want Blood (You've Got It) and ZZ Top's Greatest Hits.

Last time I had music in my lid I got 3 points and £60 fine :( I was playing Linkin Park, Numb. got into the beat and forgot about the spped limits. Just ear plugs on long trips now but most of the time now I love the sound of the mille :)

Just earplugs and muffled mille noises into my ears when i'm out on the bike :eatcorn music would be too distracting :dunno

A303 if you like AC\DC i have a disc with about 14 albums of theirs on it if you want a copy pm me :devious

PM sent mate, thanks.

Got me iPoo'd loaded with Nick Cave & some heavier tunes for the blast out of town only..i never use it in town or traffic congested areas...Have music & i will travel...has a habit of ramping up the speed tho, my throttle had taps out the beat, and the APE answers it. :pirate

As above..Like the noise of the V-Twin/Akra too much......also don't wear ear protection as like to hear the bike (playing in bands for the last 20-odd years has caused enough hearing damage!)

When I went touring round france with swmbo a couple of years ago we put a cd player through an intercom, since I got the Mille I put an ipod shuffle through my intercom (autocom) but to be honest I didn't bother putting it on again after that 1 day and took intercom mic / earphones out of helmet again :roll just not the same with music, plus it can make you speed a bit more to a good track :biggrin

Sure swmbo will want it on though when she finally gets round to going on the back

I listern now and again ....but only when on long trips ie over 100 miles!!!! apart from that I like to hear the thump of the exhaust note and the suck and roar of the renagade airbox.......gives me a semi on!!!!

Don't listen to music when I'm riding guys but for all those that have said they like rock music, I would recommend listening to Nickelback. Got 3 of their albums now and they are very good! :thumbup

for me it has to be the likes of iron maiden, acdc, an the occasional megadeath track or two :devious:thumbup
