LED Indicators

First of all thank you for the feedback about the overheating issue which is now been solved (thank God!)

I was wondering if anyone has fitted any LED indicators to the Tuono. I've ordered a set of Rizoma and there are mixed opinions whether I need to fit capacitors (or whatever they called!) as they draw less current then bulbs while someone said that the ECU on the Aprilia will take care of that.

Cheers!

For what its worth, In my opinion, nothing personnal Gerbi (or anyone else).

I went through the whole streetfighter thing a few years ago.

I realised that a lot of the "improvements" end up being a pain in the arse, bulbs popping, not flashing etc.

I understand that everyone wants to personalise their machines, but bike manufacturer spend a "lot" on developmenting a bike & sometimes changes make things worse.

Its like that little used word - mantle.

We say "diss-mantle" to take things to bits, but we never "mantle" them to put them back together, but funnily enough the germans do.

That's why I've chosen a high end manufacturer and as far as wiring goes the indicators are going to be the only part I'll change, everything else will be purely esthetics. They are also an improvement on the stock ones as they are more visible and at the rate that bikers are victim of collisions with cars "DownUnder" I'll be happy to go through a bit of pain to have them fitted.

I used to have a "mantle" it was in one piece but I got rid of when I bricked my fire up.

OT yer a fud. :yes

You need 2x WH25 6R8 JI - WELWYN - RESISTOR, 25W 5% 6R8 | CPC wired straight across live and neutral to steady the flash rate

Thanks for tip. I've just got a reply from the importer that a resistor is included with each indicator. They are also chasing an adaptor so that there's no need to solder anything. I might post some photos after the work is completed (sometimes in May I think)

OT, yer jist climbed another notch on the Fud ladder. :thumbup

Well done Sir.
