leaky fork caps!

hi all. does anyone no how to take the fork caps apart to change the seal on a 2000 rsvr? leaking from preload adjuster! ohlins say you need a tool to do it but if i new what tool i needed i can machine something up to do the job but they want tell me a thing even having just brought me oil seals off them aswell! already made tool to take caps off! any help would b great as im abit stuck! thanks james.
 
Mine are leaking too, if no-one comes up with a tool i'm going to take measurements and make myself one, i'll post the dimensions on here if I do. How much did you pay for the seals and where from?

hi, got the seals from a ohlins main dealer carnt remeber name tho lol.was given the number from local bike shop got the number at work il give it to you 2mor! the seals cost 11.60 each plus the dredded vat and a fiver next day delivery! he said the internal seals for the caps were about a fiver each but they wouldnt tell me how to take caps apart! made a alu 4 prong tool for removing caps but no idear what tool is needed for taking caps apart! somtimes wish id keeped me k1 1000 was less trouble! did you need measurments for the cap removal tool?
 
just brought the cap in to have a look and have got the cap apart! just wound the preload all the way in entill the adjuster cap came out. there is a nut inside looks about 30mm across the flats need to check 2mor tho an a socket will have to be turned down aswell as theres not alot of room! when that is removed preload adjuster and seal should come out! will post back tomorrow when iv done it!
